Nota come “Fibra degli Dei”, la Vicuña si è guadagnata questa fama grazie alle sue caratteristiche divine: è tra le fibre più fini al mondo. La sua scarsità di produzione e di conseguenza la difficoltà di reperimento contribuiscono ad aumentarne il valore, rendendola preziosa. I velli dei camelidi vengono tosati a mano o raccolti lungo i percorsi degli altipiani andini, rispettando il loro stato selvatico. Il lanificio Fratelli Piacenza, grazie a particolari accordi con comunità Peruviane, è riuscito ad assicurarsi una fonte sicura del “Vello degli Dei” e trasforma la fibra realizzando tessuti richiesti dal lusso e dalle migliori sartorie del mondo.
